Under the ownership and guidance of Niche Watercraft, Bruckmann enters its next chapter with the same standards that have defined the brand from the beginning, along with a renewed commitment to taking semi-custom yacht building to its next level.
Mark Bruckmann has given Niche his full blessing and sees this new chapter as an opportunity to build upon what his family created. Working alongside Mike Mullenberg and the Niche Watercraft team, Mark sees a future where the Bruckmann name can continue to grow without compromising the values that made it matter in the first place.
The addition of Ellis is intentional.
For decades, Ellis has been an important part of the design story behind Bruckmann Yachts, with a significant hand in shaping the boats and the character of the brand over the past 57 years. Bringing Ellis into the name recognizes that contribution and makes visible a design legacy that has long been part of the Bruckmann story.
It is not a departure from Bruckmann, but rather an expansion of the legacy. Bringing together more design expertise, more creative vision and an even deeper commitment to the client experience.
And there is another thread connecting this next chapter to the history of American yacht building.
Tim Jackett brings nearly five decades of experience to Bruckmann+Ellis, including years spent designing C&C Yachts. Decades earlier, Mark Bruckmann’s father built his own craft in the C&C custom shops – long before Tim would eventually take a turn at the design table.
With Niche Watercraft providing the stewardship and resources to support the brand, Bruckmann+Ellis is positioned to do what it has always done, now with greater capability, broader expertise and a clear vision for what comes next.
The acquisition marks not an ending, but a next step.
